Real Estate
Since 1981, Kiddie Academy® has grown into a leading provider of education-based child care with academies in locations throughout the United States. One important aspect of our strategy for growth is the relationships our experienced real estate team establishes with landlords, developers, and franchisees. High quality, attractive facilities developed in locations that make good business sense, are the result.
Kiddie Academy searches for people and organizations who share in our dedication for being the best child care provider in the communities we serve. For you, the developer or landlord, that means you get peace of mind knowing you'll have both desirable tenants and solid operators.
As a result of the growing number of women in the workforce and an ever-increasing number of single-parent homes, as well as a marked shift in parental preference toward more structured, education-based child care environments, the demand for high-quality, education-based child care programs continues to increase. Today, the child care industry generates an estimated $60 billion in annual revenues, supports more than 3.7 million jobs, and directly employs more people than the public secondary school systems. 65% of mothers with children six years of age and under are in the labor force. More than 70% of single mothers have jobs outside the home. By 2010, it is expected that more than 85% of the labor force will consist of parents. The number of working women will exceed working men. In addition to the demographics trending toward more single-parent families and two-wage-earner families, there is also a trend where highly mobile parents are having children later in life when they have greater financial resources to spend on early childhood education, development, and social integration. We provide a full spectrum of support to our franchisees. Our development services include assistance with site selection, academy design and development. This entails support with regulatory approvals for building, zoning, and child care licensing throughout the construction phase. A Kiddie Academy franchisee (your tenant) is required to hire a state-qualified director and use a comprehensive set of systems and methodologies with respect to the operations, education, training, business management, quality assurance, and marketing procedures associated with a high-quality licensed child care facility. These systems and methodologies help each franchisee maintain uniform, high-quality standards.
Kiddie Academy's interiors represent a cost-effective use of space. Our academies are built with the highest standards of excellence in mind. We provide franchisees and families with an experience that is both conducive to learning and aesthetically pleasing, inside and out.
