Helping Those in Need This Holiday Season

This year, Kiddie Academies from across the country worked together to collect 510 toys for children in need!

Together with Toys for Tots, select Academies invited their communities to donate unwrapped toys, inviting all types of donations, from board games to skateboards, benefiting children of all ages. In typical fashion, the Kiddie Academy community responded with an outpouring of support, coming together to bring hope and joy to families in need this holiday season.

Kiddie Academy of Renton collected 104 gifts for their local Toys for Tots affiliate. They also participated
in a collection drive for local nonprofit Mary’s Place.

The COVID-19 pandemic has left many community members in need of support this year, and our Franchisees made it a personal goal to make a positive, local impact.

“One of our five-year-olds used her very own allowance money that she has been saving all year to shop with her mom, pick out what she thought would be best to give, and bring it in herself to drop in the box,” shared Director Tarra Hawes from the Kiddie Academy of Des Peres.

Many of our Academies chose to support other local nonprofit organizations including food banks and shelters. With so many worthy causes and passionate community members willing to help, there was no shortage of inspiring stories from across the country.

For example, Kiddie Academy of College Station and Bryan partnered with the local Bravos Valley Food Bank for their annual “Food for Families” Food Drive. Together, the academies had over 500 non-perishable items donated.

“We far exceeded previous food drive donations thanks to our wonderful Kiddie Academy families!” said Director Melissa Mason.

Thank you to all our Kiddie Academy families and team members for helping to support our communities. No matter how you celebrate this year, happy holidays from the Kiddie Academy community!
