The staff at Kiddie Academy of Bellevue makes for a wonderful sense of community that we trust with our child’s personal development and well-being. I will continue to express my appreciation for Ms. Olive and her leadership through these unsettling times due to the pandemic. This past year has been very difficult on the Academy with the rise of Covid cases, loss of staff, weather related issues and shutting down multiple classes due to the Covid infection. Ms. Olive has been the calm through the storm that as parents we seek for guidance and stability for our child. Olive continually stays positive, communicates and tries to find solutions to problems while also remaining flexible listening to any concerns such as with the mask policy for the three year olds. The entire front desk staff, Ms. Miriam and Ms. Alyssa are the backbone of school and there to address immediate administrative issues we may have. I also cannot express the absolute appreciation for the teachers in 109. Ms. Shelly and Ms. Shira are the perfect balance for the three year old class taking each child’s personal growth into account. I have seen new children to daycare entering the classroom, unable to communicate, constantly running to escape, destroying another friend’s toys and after a few months under teacher’s guidance the same child is able to put toys away and play companionably with other children. Ms. Shelly and Ms. Shira have also pushed my child Cayden to embrace his potential as a child through teaching letters, numbers, expressions and communication with peers and adults. Cayden’s social skills have matured and increased since being in that classroom. He is also able to think, rationalize developing into his own person reflecting more confidence. Both teachers share his progress with me at the end of each day and I enjoy hearing those conversation. Cayden truly loves his teachers and staff. Thank you so much to all the staff for contributing to Cayden’s care and growth. - Candace F. on 02/10/2022

The cameras to check in and the daily reports letting us know what the kids did all day - Lauren N. on 02/03/2022

I love teachers and all staffs! They are very friendly and truly care for children. It makes children to feel KA is a fun, safe place they can rely on. I also like the total surveillance system - I can watch kids from classroom and also the playgrounds. I like the various projects teachers make kids engage. My kid showed a huge improvement on communicating verbally, writing/drawing, etc. I also like how the management team is responsive and always keeps us well-informed. What I wish - During screen time - The monitor is huge, and I see kids sit right before the screen. That is not good for eyes. They should be a lot further to the back. During outside playtime - This is the most fun time and my kid loves playing outside! But sometimes (once in a while), kids can get a bit aggressive. I wish teachers who monitor kids during outside playtime could stop bad behavior or physical fighting if there is any - For example, there was a kid who kept pulling the hood of my kid's hooded jacket hard while running around causing my kid fall down several times on the floor. He kept pulling my kid's hood repeatedly and dragged my kid around by grabbing the hood for 10-15 minutes and my kid didn't like it but no one stopped it. When that kid pulled the hat, the metalic zipper of my kid's jacket kept hitting the frontal neck of my kid and it may have been somewhat choking the neck. I wish the teacher could have stopped that kid. I know he was just playing, but kids need to learn to 'stop' when someone says 'no'. Thank you! - Alicia B. on 02/01/2022

The curriculum and activities are designed perfectly according to the age of the kids to help them learn and grow. - Udit A. on 02/01/2022
