Ms. Princess

Lead Teacher

Hello, my name is Princess Aviles and I work with the toddlers here at Kiddie Academy.  I graduated from Hudson County Community College with an Associate’s degree in Special education. I later went on to receive my Bachelor’s degree Psychology at the University of Phoenix. Teaching was not first career choice, but while working in a daycare in West New York I ran across a boy who was diagnosed with Autism. The little boy liked to keep to himself and never liked to be touched. His last day at the school he gave me a big hug and said bye, this experienced really touched me and lead me to the educational field.

I have been teaching for 7 years now and not a day is the same from the last. I believe that each child is unique and has the potential to bring something special into the world. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential by providing an environment that is safe, supports curiosity, and invites a sharing of ideas. Children should be self-regulated through positive reinforcement in which they learn how to take on responsibility, independency and build high self-esteem. To be able to mold young minds to make a difference in this world is something that I will always cherish.
