Welcome our Director at Kiddie Academy of Mercer Crossing

We are excited to welcome and introduce our new Director, Michelle L. Coston!

For over 30 years, Michelle has been working in licensed childcare programs, nurturing children with a love of learning, self, and others. She has 8+ years of experience as a Center Director for the early childhood development of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. In this role, she simultaneously collaborated with families, teachers, and communities to support passion for inquiry and knowledge.
Having a blissful childhood of exploration and curiosity, Michelle desires to provide similar safe spaces for children to interact with their environment, build social-emotional skills, and cultivate trusting relationships. Hence, she began her career as a childcare teacher and created programs illuminating a child’s imagination and sense of wonder.
Michelle holds an Associate of Science degree in Preschool Curriculum, a Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Development-Infant Specialization, and a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. Currently, she is a full-time doctoral student working towards a Ph.D. in Child Development, focusing on the essential needs of children for whom policies and practices are created.
Eagerly joining Kiddie Academy of Mercer Crossing community, Michelle looks forward to meeting all the families and welcoming all children to enjoy, learn and develop their potential.
