Kiddie Academy of Plantation Brings Home Life Essentials® Health & Fitness Award

Local educational child care facility Kiddie Academy of Plantation recently received the Life Essentials® Health & Fitness Award at Kiddie Academy’s Annual Conference, held virtually last month, where hundreds of franchisees from over 250+ Academies nationwide were considered for the award, which reflect efforts and contributions made in 2019.
Learning and encouraging health and fitness at a young age is a gift that lasts a lifetime, and good physical health is a critical component of brain development. The winner of the Life Essentials Health & Fitness award consistently provides nutritious meals and ample time for physical activities.
According to the CEO of Kiddie Academy, Greg Helwig, Kiddie Academy of Plantation incorporates Health and Fitness into every aspect of their Academy. They’ve created interactive displays where children practice healthy habits like brushing teeth, and incorporated outdoor activities that encourage teamwork and problem solving like sack races and obstacle courses. The Academy always finds a way to make a lesson fun and interactive, for example, by having the fire department spray down the playground during fire safety week and running snow machines during the winter months in Florida during outdoor learning.
