  I am thrilled to be the Academy Director of Education for Kiddie Academy of Vancouver - Salmon Creek. For over 20 years, it's been my honor contributing to the development of young children as an early childhood education teacher, assistant director, and center director. These experiences allowed me to develop world-class child care settings while meeting the strict criteria needed for NAEYC accreditation (National Association for the Education of Young Children). I also previously managed onsite child care for the St. Louis Rams professional football team. In addition to my professional experience educating young children, I also have the privilege of raising William, my 4 year-old son. William is also a student at Kiddie Academy.

  Nykesha L., Academy Director of Adminstration

  I am excited to be Kiddie Academy Salmon Creek's Director of Administration. As a former Kiddie Academy Lead Teacher, I understand how important it is to have devoted leadership in order to succeed in the classroom. It is a privilege to be able to offer that support to our teachers, students and families. I found my passion for working with children after graduating with my bachelor’s degree at Linfield College in 2018. I started out in "before and after school" child care where I was a Site Director and Camp Manager for almost two years before moving back to my hometown of Orchards. After being in a leadership position, I decided I wanted to continue along that path and master my skills to become an exemplary education leader. Last year I completed my master’s degree in Strategic Planning and Leadership. I am thrilled to able to apply those skills in my role as Director of Administration. My husband and I are currently expecting our first child in March 2021. We are extremely grateful to be surrounded by a trusted community at Kiddie Academy that we can rely on in on our journey as new parents.

  As the owner of Kiddie Academy Vancouver - Salmon Creek, I'm very excited to offer another high-quality child care resource for our growing community. As the son of two educators, I've been involved in the education industry for over 10 years including early childhood education. Prior to partnering with Kiddie Academy, I had the privilege of managing employer-sponsored child care programs for organizations including: OHSU, University of Washington, Oregon State University, Daimler Trucks, Pixar Animation Studios, and the Los Angeles Dodgers. I'm thrilled to bring the same kind of high-quality child care and culture to Kiddie Academy of Vancouver - Salmon Creek.
