Hi, my name is Cleo Brown and I am excited about joining this amazing team at the Kiddie Academy. I obtained my bachelors degree in Psychology and I am currently pursuing my Masters degree in early childhood education and special education. I know that it has been said countless times before but I truly believe that our children are our future. I believe in the importance of child development through providing quality education. All children need guidance and proper assistance to foster the skills required to blossom into successful adults. I aspire to be an instrumental part of that process. As an educator, I know that I will play an important role in nurturing our student’s growth not only in the area of cognitive development but also in their social and emotional maturation. I look forward to meeting all of our new students and their families in the days to come!
Hello my name is Brittany Champion! I’ve currently relocated back to Brooklyn from Tampa, Florida. I’ve been in child care for 10 years and worked with all age groups. I am CPR/First Aid certified, also pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education to be able to work with children with special needs. I look forward to meeting your child and helping them reach their developmental milestones.
My name is Jacqueline Gonzalez and I am thrilled to introduce myself to you as the newest member of Kiddie Academy teaching team. I attained my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood General/Special Education from Brooklyn College in 2015.
I have been a Williamsburg local for the past decade and I am mother to two beautiful girls (ages 4 and 10). My daughters are of school age and constantly learning through their environment. I definitely understand the busy life of being a working parent and, as a result, take my dual role as both educator and caregiver very seriously.
My primary goal is to provide your children with a nurturing atmosphere in which they will be encouraged to explore, investigate, and create on a daily basis. Our classroom will continue to be a place in which all of our feelings, thoughts, and ideas are respected and we can come together to build upon something wonderful in every child.
I look forwarding to facilitating the fundamentals of inventive thinking and active learning by supporting each child’s individuality. I am excited to join the Kiddie Academy teaching team as well as look forward to getting to know each of you better in the days ahead.
Hi, my name is Mary. I am from Staten Island. I have my New York State certification in early childhood education and am currently working on obtaining my Master’s degree in early childhood literacy. I believe in working collaboratively with children and their families to create the best learning environment for the individual child. I cannot wait to meet all of the new faces at Kiddie Academy soon!
I have been in the early childhood field since I myself was a child. I began babysitting at the very young age of 10 years old. I have my Bachelor's degree in Childhood Education, a certificate in Early Childhood Education and my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I had the pleasure of being the director at a small daycare center in Colorado where I worked for 5+ years before relocating back East with my husband and son to be closer to family. I now have two children, 3 years and almost 1.
I love the work that I do! Working in a field where I get to partner with both teachers and families to offer the very best care for children brings me joy and provides me with an energized feeling that I can't quite put into words. I love every aspect of the early childhood field. I love that working with childcare centers means getting to hold babies, getting to crack up at the funny things toddlers and preschoolers say, getting to meet parents and hear their amazing stories or their struggles with parenting. This is where my heart is at and I'm pleased to get to share it with others. I'm excited for you all to finally get to experience what a daycare should be- enjoy it!!!
Marketing Manager/Floater Teacher
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from The City College of New York. Childcare is a new career for me and I couldn’t be more excited about the journey. I am currently in the process of obtaining my Masters Degree in Childhood Education. I truly enjoy being apart of this team, seeing children grow and learn is so rewarding. This career change was a big step forward for me, to be able to pursue something I am passionate about is what gets me going each morning!
I am a born and bred New Yorker. Growing up in a vibrant and diverse city has taught me so much. It always amazes me how every time you step out of your front door, learning opportunities arise. It’s so exciting to me to be able to share that knowledge and joy with your kids!
This childcare center was born out of desperate father looking for a way to spend more time with his children. Like many new Yorkers, my wife and I both had great careers with a bright outlook. We both enjoyed living in Brooklyn as it was a vibrant neighborhood with great restaurants and culture, not to mention the great commute to Manhattan where we both worked. Then we had the amazing experience of welcoming our first born into the world. Like most new parents, we went out to seek quality child care immediately. We were looking for constant updates, caring staff, keeping track of how she was doing and would want to be there for her first moments. However, there wasn’t one to be found in the area. We just couldn’t find a place where we felt comfortable leaving her for 10 hours a day. That was the moment that I knew something needed to be changed, regardless how much I valued my career. It became clear that I had to provide high quality childcare. What this meant to me was a warm and inviting environment where highly qualified teaching staff are passionate about children and truly care about their needs, their happiness, and their growth. I knew that creating this was not only important for me and my family, but for so many working families out there.
I have a special connection to Williamsburg as my wife and I had our first child in this area. Through many friends, I come to realized that this area is truly in need of a high quality, trust worthy, and passionate center. I wanted to serve the neighborhood that we have seen transformed in the past few years, grow with it, and be a value to add to the community.
I am honored to finally be able to open our doors to you and your children. Thank you for trusting us with your babies.
