“We have been at Kiddie Academy since its opening in January 2016 and have been very pleased. Quite honestly I am not sure what we would do for child care had this not opened when our daughter, Addison, was born. However, there have been challenges regarding staffing, teacher retention, and consistency in the classrooms. With the new facility opening in Wilmington in November 2019, there has been an obvious strain on the teachers with many going to the new facility. The backfill and training of new teachers has not been smooth, but expected. Our classroom in particular, Sea Turtles, has not had consistent teachers since early November, but the communication indicates in late January we will have our classroom with new teachers. I am worried about our children being ready to move to the next classroom. I will say that Carly and Courtney have been extremely attentive and acknowledge the issues and when they will be fixed. “Kiddie Academy has been a wonderful resource for my family! My daughter has so much fun everyday when she is at school.
