What is a bio?  Who wants to read about me?  I am just your average working Parent, striving everyday to balance the demands of the different roles I fulfill as a Wife, a Mother, a School Volunteer, a Business Owner, a Group Leader and a Community Servant…you know, the usual stuff.  In the Beginning - When I was in High School, I had a goal of pursuing a career in Education and becoming a Teacher.  But when reality sunk in and the mound of student loan debt growing, I made a difficult decision to pursue another career path that would allow me to kick the habit of eating more than the pre-packaged noodles (you know the one) and the all you can eat pizza buffet down the street (I bet you know which one I am talking about here too!).  After graduating from University of Houston (Go Coogs!), I spent my formidable years working in Corporate America, pursuing a career in the Human Resources Profession.  Fast forward two decades later (yes, I know I hide my age well), I eventually came to the conclusion that I wanted more for both myself and my family.  So this jump started the next chapter of our lives, to be the masters of our own destiny.  Together we saved enough money to invest in a business to call our own – a child care center with Kiddie Academy.  Being a working Parent, I understand and relate to what families are looking for when it comes to high quality child care.  We all want our children to be loved on, cared for while in a safe learning environment.  So with that in mind, I built Kiddie Academy of Woodforest to focus and address those specific needs.  As I have said many times over, I personally would not represent this school if this was not one that I would consider enrolling my children in.  While I never fulfilled my dream of becoming a Teacher, I have found my bliss once again in the arms of the little ones that run up to me everyday just to say, “Hi, Ms. Jean.”  I look forward everyday to serving my community by offering a high quality child care facility, which in its simplest form offers a safe and nurturing environment where it is truly all about children learning through play.  Want to hear more about Kiddie Academy of Woodforest?  Call and/or e-mail me…I am here at the school every day!  “Tell me and I’ll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I’ll understand.” - Chinese proverb
