Join us for Storytime LIVE! This Summer

Did you know that students who are exposed to reading before preschool are more likely to do well in all facets of formal education? As a parent, you have the power to boost your child’s learning potential simply by making books an integral part of their lives. Engaging children in an exciting and enjoyable group educational experience lays the groundwork for a successful transition into a school setting and a lifetime love of reading and learning. Here are a few other facts about early reading you should know:

  • Reading can introduce children to new ideas, experiences and concepts that let their imaginations run wild.
  • At Kiddie Academy, reading together is an essential part of preparing for school and for life, as it helps to build essential speech, communication and literacy skills.
  • Research shows that reading aloud to young children is not only one of the best activities to stimulate language and cognitive skills; it also builds motivation, curiosity, and memory.
  • Reading aloud is widely recognized as the single most important activity leading to language development.
