Obesity rates drop for 2- to 5-year-olds

According to a new study, obesity rates in children 2 to 5 years old have decreased significantly over the past decade.

Thanks to government initiatives, like First Lady Michele Obama’s “Let’s Move!” campaign, states where obesity rates have declined have taken action to incorporate healthy eating and active living into children’s lives.

Health and fitness are integral parts of Kiddie Academy’s Life Essentials® philosophy, that’s why over 90% of Kiddie Academy® locations nationwide have received certification as participants in the Let’s Move! child care initiative – a public statement of Kiddie Academy’s system-wide commitment to a healthier future for children.

At Kiddie Academy, we make the health of your child and the development of healthy habits a top priority. Our menus were developed with a licensed nutritionist, ensuring our meals meet the nutritional needs of growing children. What’s better?  Kiddie Academy instills family style dining, which utilizes portion control, sharing and passing food. We focus on teaching your child how to stay healthy by making good food choices, incorporating physical exercise and maintaining healthy personal habits every day.
