Kiddie Academy® Poised for Growth in the “New Normal”

Pushing Forward

While the past few months have been challenging, they’ve been far from quiet. Our team at Kiddie Academy^® Educational Child Care has stayed busy, supporting Academies caring for children of essential workers, helping more locations reopen, and pushing forward to keep planned Academies on track to open in the future.

Many of our Academies remained open during the crisis, caring for the children of front-line workers. Now, as more states relax stay-at-home restrictions and parents begin to go back to work, the need for child care is anticipated to rebound quickly, just as it has during previous periods of economic stress. Within the next month, we anticipate all our more than 250 Academies to be back in operation and we remain on track to continue opening new Academies at a brisk pace by year’s end. That includes two Academies that opened their doors for the first time during the pandemic. We also are feeling very optimistic for the future. During the pandemic, we signed Purchase and Sale Agreements and Lease Agreements in Atlanta, Northern New Jersey, Seattle, Dallas and Houston.

Innovative Ways to Support Our System

One of the great things that we believe truly sets our company apart is that we’re not simply focused on growing our system and opening more facilities. We’re always thinking of how we can better assist our existing franchise owners in meeting their personal goals and providing even better services to their families. Innovation is critical to our success. Our Real Estate and Constructions teams have been creatively using video chats, construction-site webcams and other tools to continue moving the site selection and permitting processes forward so that we can stay on track to get your Academies in our pipeline open as soon as possible.

Where We're Headed

It’s also been incredibly inspiring to see many positives that have been born from this crisis. We see stories every day how Academy owners and staff are doing amazing things in their local communities –raising funds to buy medical masks for healthcare workers, creating virtual classroom environments for kids who are at home, donating care packages and meals to first responders. We’ve also implemented more stringent cleaning and social practices in the Academies, helping to better assure the health and safety of children, families and staff going forward.

We’re proud of how our company has aggressively met this challenge. And we’re excited about where we’re headed as we emerge on the other side of it. We would love nothing more than to have you be a part of it.
