Growing Together: Our First Community Event at Berry’s Produce

On September 26, 2026, Kiddie Academy of Atlee celebrated its first successful community event at Berry’s Produce. Organized by our director, Kathy, the event was a wonderful opportunity to welcome Atlee-area families, introduce our academy, and share our excitement for learning and discovery.

Kathy brought our first event together with a thoughtful, welcoming setup. Our Kiddie Academy tables featured a basket of apples, coloring pages, crayon packs, and information about our academy. Fall decorations and the beautiful surroundings at Berry’s Produce added a cheerful seasonal touch.

Families stopped by to meet Kathy and connect with our team. These conversations made the day especially meaningful as we began building relationships with the community we look forward to serving.

From a Tiny Seed to a Delicious Apple

Our theme, “From a Tiny Seed to a Delicious Apple,” celebrated how small discoveries can inspire big questions. The red and green apples on our table offered a simple connection to nature, colors, seeds, and growth, while coloring pages and crayons brought creativity into the mix.

These everyday materials reflect the learning opportunities all around us. An apple can spark a conversation about where food comes from, how trees grow, or what changes with the seasons.

Welcoming Atlee Families and Building Connections

Our first community event gave us an opportunity to introduce Kiddie Academy of Atlee beyond our academy’s walls. We enjoyed welcoming local families, sharing information, and beginning conversations about early childhood education.

To every family who stopped by, thank you for spending part of your day with us. Your interest and friendly conversations helped make this first gathering a special milestone for our academy.

Keep the Discovery Growing at Home

Bring a little of our event’s inspiration home with a simple apple activity:

• Notice the apple’s colors, shape, and texture together.
• Have an adult cut it open, then count the seeds with your child.
• Ask, “What does a seed need to grow?”
• Draw an apple tree and talk about how it changes through the seasons.

A few questions and a shared moment can turn an everyday experience into an opportunity to learn.
