Construction Update: Purposeful Learning Is Coming to Kiddie Academy of Bel Air-James Run

Construction is moving forward at Kiddie Academy of Bel Air-James Run, and we can’t wait to welcome local families into a place where fun and learning go hand in hand.

As our Academy comes together, we’re looking ahead to what will fill it: curious questions, new friendships, proud “I did it!” moments and meaningful learning experiences. We’re excited to bring educational child care to families in Bel Air, MD, and the surrounding Harford County community.

Fun Activities With a Purpose

What is educational child care? It combines nurturing care with intentional, age-appropriate learning experiences that help children grow throughout the day.

At Kiddie Academy of Bel Air-James Run, our Life Essentials® curriculum will guide that learning. Children will explore, create and play while developing skills they can use in kindergarten, elementary school and everyday life.

A tower of blocks can become a lesson in problem-solving. Sharing art supplies offers a chance to practice cooperation. Listening to a story builds vocabulary, while talking about its characters helps children understand feelings.

To your child, these moments feel like fun. Behind each activity is an opportunity to learn.

Preparing for Kindergarten and Beyond

Being ready for kindergarten means more than recognizing letters and numbers. It also means learning to follow directions, communicate needs, work with others and feel confident trying something new.

Our approach to early childhood education supports these skills together. Through engaging activities and everyday routines, children will have opportunities to build early literacy and math skills alongside independence, creativity and social connections.

Life Essentials® encourages children to ask questions, explore ideas and keep trying when something feels challenging. These experiences help build a foundation for future learning.

Qualified Educators Who Guide Each Step

Choosing child care means choosing the people who will support your child during some of their most important early years.

Kiddie Academy educators must meet or exceed state requirements for child care providers, including education qualifications, background clearance and ongoing professional development. Our educators will use their training to guide purposeful activities, support individual learning needs and help children feel encouraged as they grow.

We’re excited to build a team that will celebrate the little victories right alongside you.
