“Positive classroom management of the school aged classroom. Variety of resources including but not limited to: educational computer programs, manipulative such as blocks, reading materials and art supplies. I like the way community is fostered with the school aged classroom through the use of a group activity each day. Most recently a paper mache' project was completed over several days through collaboration between students. I am impressed by the effort and implementation of academic growth activities such as languages other than English being introduced and taught. Most importantly to me is the relationship between my daughters and the Kiddie Academy professional within the room. Since coming to the center just months ago, Emily has built an exceptional program that encourages love of learning and expands on the already rigorous academics offered by Fairfax County Public Schools. Emily is a dedicated teacher and her efforts to provide opportunities for learning in a fun way make my girls' time at Kiddie Academy all the more enjoyable!
