Dr. Greg Washington serves as President/CEO of Education Village, an education holding company that owns and operates Kiddie Academy of Dacula, an education-based childcare franchise in Dacula, Georgia. Additionally, Greg is a member of the Board of Directors for Nana Grants, a local non-profit that assists single parents with the costs related to childcare as they pursue higher education.
Before embarking on his journey in early childhood education, Greg held executive roles in higher education from campus and system level to senior corporate leadership. Most recently, Greg was a senior executive in Laureate Education. As Vice President of Operations for Walden University’s College of Management and Technology, he was responsible for all aspects of academic and operational oversight of the 10,000-student college.
Greg transitioned to higher education from the United States Army, where he holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and is currently assigned to the Retired Reserve. In his 23-year military career, his functional assignments included Logistics Management, Operations Management, Strategic Planning, and Special Operations. Dr. Washington holds a Doctor of Management Degree in Organizational Leadership, a Master of Business Administration in Global Management, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood Administration, Management, and Leadership.
