Meet the Owners

Dr. Shardul and Dr. Drashti Kaneria

Dr. Drashti (Dr. Dash), formerly a dentist and Dr. Shardul Kaneria, formerly an educational neuroscientist and high school administrator, are originally from Melbourne, Australia and now call the Salt Lake Valley home. They are the proud parents of Shiv (age 8) and Dev (age 5) and appreciate the impact, quality early childhood education has, on the social, emotional and cognitive development of young children. Dr. Drashti is excited to lead the team at Kiddie Academy of Daybreak and foster an environment where children can thrive and develop an educational foundation that will serve them well throughout their future lives. This is their second Kiddie Academy after Kiddie Academy of Herriman which opened in 2024. They have transitioned well from the windswept beaches of Australia to the magnificent surrounds in Utah and can be found exploring the local parks and trails in their free time.

Olivia Smith

Professsional Development Coordinator

I am the Professional Development Coordinator for Kiddie Academy of Herriman, Kiddie Academy of Daybreak and Kiddie Academy of Saratoga Springs (opening soon). In this role, I oversee all new and current staff training, coaching, and ongoing support. I combine my 10+ years of childcare teaching and leadership experience, along with my passion for elevating teaching practices and strengthening classroom quality to ensure every educator is equipped with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to succeed. In my role, I assist the Academy Director and the Director of Education in creating consistent, high-quality learning experience for all children in our care. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a community that cares so deeply about children, families, and one another. I’m a mom to two wonderful daughters, and when I’m not at the academy, you can usually find me spending time with my family, watching movies,
