We are beyond honored to share that Kiddie Academy of Floral Park, Kiddie Academy of Flushing, and Kiddie Academy of Whitestone have been recognized with the Community Essentials Award at the Kiddie Academy Annual Conference!
Out of more than 350 Kiddie Academy locations nationwide, our school team was chosen for demonstrating exceptional generosity within our communities while actively involving our children, families, and team members in giving back together.
Community has always been at the heart of everything we do, so this recognition means more than we can put into words.
This award belongs to our incredible directors, teachers, families, and students who prove every single day that kindness, generosity, and service aren’t just things we talk about—they’re values we live.
Over the past year, together we:
- Organized our first-ever Baby Essentials Drive, collecting diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, and other necessities for local families and shelters.
- Collected toys for local families in need and the Hance Family Foundation during the holiday season, helping bring joy to children and families.
- Hosted Thanksgiving food and gift card drives to help families enjoy a holiday meal.
- Led a Spring Cleaning clothing drive that provided clothing to families in a local shelter.
- Participated in local Breast Cancer Awareness walks, supporting families and raising awareness in our communities.
- Completed over 3,000 Random Acts of Kindness, showing our students that even the smallest acts can make a big difference.
- Thanked police officers, nurses, teachers, and delivery workers with handmade gifts, care packages, cards, flowers, cupcakes, and so much more.
Most importantly, our children weren’t just watching—they were leading. They brought in their gently used baby clothes and unused baby essentials, collected donations from family and friends, assembled care packages for families in need, created gifts for one another, spread kindness throughout our schools, and learned firsthand that they have the power to make a difference in the lives of others.
Thank you to every family who donated, every teacher who inspired, every child who participated, and every community partner who joined us along the way. This award is a celebration of what we can accomplish when we come together with kindness, compassion, and a shared commitment to serving others.
