January at Kiddie Academy of Franklin: Growing Together in the New Year

A new year brings fresh opportunities to learn, grow and connect—and January is already off to a wonderful start at Kiddie Academy of Franklin! As we settle into 2026, our classrooms are buzzing with excitement as children explore, collaborate and build important life skills through our Life Essentials® curriculum.

Everything we do at Kiddie Academy is designed to support the development of the whole child. This month, our activities and experiences continue to intentionally nurture our six learning outcomes:

• Character – January’s Character Essentials® theme is “We Get Along.” Children are learning how to cooperate, show kindness, take turns and respect one another. Through group projects, stories and everyday interactions, they practice what it means to be a good friend and community member.

• Connection – Strong relationships are at the heart of learning. Our students build meaningful connections with teachers and peers, creating a safe, supportive environment where they feel valued and understood.

• Creativity – From art and music to imaginative play, children are encouraged to express themselves and think outside the box. Creative experiences help boost self-expression and problem-solving in fun, engaging ways.

• Critical Thinking – Hands-on activities challenge children to ask questions, make predictions and find solutions. Whether building, sorting or experimenting, they’re developing the skills they need to think independently.

• Curiosity – January is full of exploration! Our teachers spark curiosity by inviting children to discover how things work, investigate new ideas and explore the world around them.

• Confidence – As children master new skills and collaborate with friends, they gain confidence in themselves and their abilities. Every small success helps build a strong foundation for future learning.
