With over 7 years of experience in management in the early childhood educatoin field, I bring a strong balance of leadership and compassion to every role I take on. I'm currently pursuing my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, continuing to grow my experience in creating nurturing, structured, and developmentally appropriate environments for children and staff alike. My background includes hands-on knowledge in team management, scheduling, conflict resolution, staff training, and day-to-day operations - skills that allow me to support both children and professionals with confidence and care. I am passionate about building strong teams, maintaining organized systems, and ensuring every child and family receives the quality care and attention they deserve. I look forward to helping families feel confident about their enrollment with us at Kiddie Academy Harrisburg.

Hello families! My name is Laura Charles and I am the Director at Kiddie Academy of Harrisburg. With over 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, I bring a deep passion for nurturing young minds and creating a joyful, safe, and inspiring environment for children to grow and thrive. I have a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and am working towards my Masters Degree. I have worked in a variety of educational settings, gaining extensive knowledge in curriculum development, play-based learning, and inclusive classroom practices. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my son and traveling.

Administrative Assistant

With over 9 years of experience in the childcare field, I bring a strong foundation in organization, communication, and multitasking to my role as Administrative Assistant. My background has equipped me with the ability to manage complex schedules and maintain a calm, solutions-focused approach in fast-paced environments. I hold an Associate of Arts degree in General Education. Im passionate about helping teams run smoothly and providing dependable, behind the scenes support. I look forward to working with your family here at Kiddie Academy Harrisburg.
