Earth Week 2025: Recycled Robot Project!
This past April, Kiddie Academy of Apopka celebrated Earth Week with a meaningful and imaginative project that taught our students the value of recycling and the importance of community. Using materials collected by the school—like boxes, bottles, and cans—our students built incredible robots made entirely from recycled items.
What made these creations extra special? Each robot was inspired by our very own parents, who serve as community helpers. From nurses and police officers to delivery drivers and teachers, the children honored the real-life heroes in their lives by building robots that reflected the work their parents do every day.
This project was a fun and creative way to promote environmental responsibility while also showing appreciation for the amazing families who are part of our school community.
We’re so proud of our students’ hard work and creativity—and we can’t wait to see what they’ll dream up next Earth Week!
