Margi and Kunjan Shah

I am Margi Shah, proud owner of Kiddie Academy of Itasca. My husband, Kunjan Shah, and I are blessed with two preschool aged girls. As parents, we value early childhood education as it creates a foundation for life. We were looking to invest in a business while wanting to be able to also spend time with our girls. Opening a childcare center came into our minds. We started looking at options which brought us to Kiddie Academy franchise. Kidde Academy has everything. It offers a great curriculum, caring teachers, nurturing environment, and a big playground. We thank you for choosing Kiddie Academy of Itasca. We ensure that your children will receive great care while they are here with us.

Maria Miller, Director

My name is Maria Miller. I was born in Santiago, Chile. I was adopted at the age of 5 by a family living in Skokie, a suburb of Chicago. I received my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I went on to get my Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Science from National Louis University. I have been in the early childhood field for over 20 years. I joined the Kiddie Academy Team in 2019 as a Lead Preschool Teacher. Between 2019 and 2023 I have been an educational coordinator, assistant director, and director at multiple locations. I live in Wood Dale with my family. I have 2 children; a 13-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son and 2 cats, Howard and Robin My children attend the Itasca school district. I love Kiddie Academy’s curriculum and truly believe that it is the best place for educational childcare. My absolute favorite part of our curriculum is our social-emotional program, called Character Essentials.  This program helps kids see the importance of positive social skills. The goal is to develop a whole child and help each child become a good citizen. I look forward to meeting all of you! I am looking forward to all the amazing fun-filled years we have ahead. Jackie Ocampo, Assistant Director

Ms. Jackie has been working with Kiddie Academy of Itasca for 2 and a half years now. Her journey here started as an assistant teacher. Through schooling, she has been able to advance her career at KA Itasca. From assistant to lead teacher, to curriculum coordinator, to Assistant Director now.  "My favorite part of working at Kiddie Academy of Itasca is being able to see the growth all around the center. The children I've watched grow up the last two years have made incredible marks, and the educators I've worked with have developed within their profession immensely. The leadership team makes strides every day toward an improved quality of care, and does all they can to benefit the children, staff, and families of Kiddie Academy of Itasca."
