The Life Essentials® Curriculum: What Makes Kiddie Academy Different

A Curriculum Built for the Whole Child

When choosing a daycare or preschool, curriculum matters. At Kiddie Academy, our proprietary Life Essentials® curriculum goes beyond academics to develop the whole child — preparing them not just for school, but for life. This is what sets Kiddie Academy apart from other childcare options in the area.

The Six Pillars of Life Essentials®

The Life Essentials® curriculum is built around six developmental pillars that guide every activity, lesson, and interaction throughout the day:

Character — Children learn honesty, respect, and responsibility through daily routines and guided activities. Confidence — We create opportunities for children to try new things, make choices, and celebrate their achievements. Curiosity — Our educators encourage questions, exploration, and hands-on discovery in every classroom.

Connection — Building meaningful relationships with peers and caregivers is central to our approach. Critical Thinking — Even our youngest learners practice problem-solving through age-appropriate challenges. Creative Expression — Art, music, movement, and imaginative play are woven into every day.

What This Looks Like in Practice

For infants, Life Essentials® means responsive caregiving, sensory exploration, and language-rich interactions. For toddlers, it means structured play, early literacy activities, and social skill-building with peers. Every age group experiences the curriculum differently, but the focus on whole-child development remains constant.

Our educators receive specialized training in the Life Essentials® approach, ensuring consistent, high-quality experiences across every classroom. Combined with Cognia accreditation — a globally recognized standard of educational quality — families can trust that their child is receiving an exceptional early education.
