Kiddie Academy of Oakbrook Terrace

Hello, my name is Laura Nichols, and I am the Academy Director here at Kiddie Academy of Oakbrook Terrace. I graduated college with a degree in Elementary Education, and I became a Pre-K teacher. From there, I was given the opportunity to move into a director position and have never looked back. I began my first leadership role in 2011. I was inspired to work in early childhood education because I had wonderful teachers throughout my life who showed me how impactful early education can be. I hope to pass on that same support and encouragement to young children. My favorite part about directing is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with families, watch their children grow and learn, and help create a strong foundation for their future.

My name is Melanie Boehm and I have been a Director of Education for a little over a year and have spent the past 13 years working in the early childhood education field. I’ve always loved caring for others and helping children learn and grow. What I enjoy most about my role is seeing children discover new things, build confidence, and reach important milestones. Creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive is what inspires me every day.
