Meet the Owner

Ayesha Ali

Ayesha Ali is the owner of the Kiddie Academy of Reston. She is a graduate of George Mason University and switched over 5 years ago from a successful career in technology to pursue her true passion in early childhood development. Her struggle to find quality child care with a strong focus on academics for her own 2 children led her to establishing a child care from her basement. She successfully ran her home child care with a waiting list for 3 years before partnering with Kiddie Academy to expand into a state-of-the-art facility with all the best practices, amenities and services parents were requesting frequently. In addition to ensuring an environment that is safe and conducive to learning she continues to be on the lookout for the next SMART Board, tablet, or iPhone app that can be leveraged by parents to enhance the learning experience for their young children.

Jennie Chancey

Center Director

Hello! My name is Jennie Chancey and I am the proud Director of Kiddie Academy of Reston! I have my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Central Michigan University with over fifteen years of work experience from a wide variety of preschool centers. I consider myself a lifelong learner who is always trying to improve! I am passionate about creating nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environments for young learners. As the new director I am committed to fostering a strong sense of community among families and staff, supporting high-squality curriculum implementation, and ensuring each child thrives socially, emotionally, and academically. I believe in leading by example- with compassion, consistency, and a deep understanding of what it takes to build a successful early learning program.

Adriana Ploeg

Assistant Director

Ms. Adriana grew up in Delaware and spent time living in DC before moving to Reston and working with Kiddie Academy in 2013. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology & Criminal Justice. She has been working with children for over 20 years, as her family has always been involved in ECE. She loves providing a safe space for young children to develop their skills and grow into their own individual identities, and creating a welcoming environment for families and staff. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her children and husband, hiking, camping, and gardening.
