Children’s Coat Drive

Children’s Coat Drive! February 4th through February 17th, 2026!!

Do you have any gently used winter coats that the children in your family have outgrown? Our Academy is partnering with the Hunter Mill Winter “Coats for Kids” Drive, an annual coat drive sponsored by Fairfax County Supervisor Walter Alcorn in partnership with Heritage Fellowship Church. New or gently used, clean winter coats and jackets from newborn to teen sizes will be collected and then distributed at schools, Head Start programs, community and teen centers, local shelters, nonprofits, faith groups and through other community organizations.

We will be collecting donations in line with the donation guidelines below from now until February 17 in the Kiddie Academy lobby.

Donation guidelines:

Coats and jackets from size newborn to teen must be new or gently used and clean
Coats for elementary and middle-school children are especially needed
You may also donate NEW reusable shopping bags like those found at grocery and retail stores. These will be used to transport and hand out coats.
Plastic children’s size coat hangers are also accepted for donation
Due to space limitations, DO NOT DONATE: other clothes, hat, gloves, scarves, sweater, snow suits, or boots. No wire or adult-size hangers.

Thank you for your consideration!
