Fall Festival Fun at Kiddie Academy of Longwood-Lake Mary

Pumpkin discoveries, apple explorations and time together made our October 23 Fall Festival a celebration to remember! Kiddie Academy® of Longwood-Lake Mary welcomed families for seasonal activities that brought curiosity and community into the same space.

Hands-On Fall Discoveries

What’s inside a pumpkin? Children had the chance to find out! With teachers nearby to guide their exploration, they took a closer look at the seeds and stringy textures hiding beneath a pumpkin’s familiar orange shell. Magnifying glasses offered another way to investigate the details.

Our apple station gave children opportunities to explore apples up close, with whole apples, slices and pictures showing the different parts of the fruit. These simple experiences invited children to notice, ask questions and connect familiar foods with new discoveries.

A pumpkin-picking challenge added another playful activity. Using a grabbing tool to lift small pumpkins encouraged children to concentrate, coordinate their movements and keep trying as they worked to move each pumpkin into a basket.

Making Memories Together

Between activities, families could pause for a photo in front of our fall backdrop, complete with pumpkins, hay bales and colorful leaves. It was a chance to capture a memory while spending time together at the Academy.

Family events also create opportunities for parents to connect with teachers and other families. Sharing these experiences helps strengthen the relationships that make our Academy community feel welcoming and familiar.

Learning Through Seasonal Play

Our Fall Festival offered a glimpse of how much learning can happen through hands-on exploration. Investigating a pumpkin encourages observation and conversation. Trying a new game provides practice with coordination and problem-solving. Exploring alongside others creates opportunities to share discoveries and take turns.

Thank you to the families and team members who helped make our October 23 celebration so special. We loved sharing these fall moments with you!
