Angelea Smith

Program Lead

Angelea Smith began her journey in early childhood education in 2012. She has worked with children from infants through Pre-K and grew into an administrative role in 2024, strengthening her leadership skills and her ability to support both educators and families. In October 2025, she joined Kiddie Academy and now proudly serves as Program Lead, where she blends her classroom experience with her passion for mentoring teachers and building strong family partnerships.Angelea earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Care and Education from the University of Washington, further deepening her knowledge of child development, curriculum, and meaningful family engagement. As a mom of two, Angelea understands how important it is for families to feel confident and connected. She is committed to creating a warm, supportive environment where children feel safe, celebrated, and excited to learn each day. 

Olive Amado-Cortez

Executive Director

With 18 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and over a decade with Kiddie Academy at KAGS group, Olive brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her role as Executive Director of the Bellevue Kirkland, Queen Anne and Greenwood Kiddie Academies. Her journey through roles as Teacher, Program Supervisor, and Academy Director has shaped her expertise and dynamic leadership style. In her role, Olive collaborates with directors, staff, and families to ensure the centers deliver outstanding programs that foster children’s development, strengthen family bonds, and inspire staff. Her leadership focuses on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, driving the success of both academies. Passionate about creating inclusive environments, Olive ensures children thrive, teachers are empowered, and families feel supported. 

Rosie Dean

Program Lead

Rosie Dean is proud to serve as the Program Lead at Kiddie Academy of Seattle at Greenwood. With more than 15 years of experience in early childhood education and family engagement, she is dedicated to creating a vibrant, inclusive school community where families feel welcomed, educators feel valued, and children flourish. Rosie holds a Master of Education in Educational Psychology and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education. Her work is grounded in meaningful family partnerships and a holistic approach to child development, honoring each child’s unique strengths, needs, and ways of learning. She believes in the power of listening, co-constructing knowledge with children and educators, and fostering reflective, collaborative professional growth. Through coaching and mentorship, Rosie strives to uplift and empower educators so they can do their best work.
