Kiddie Academy of Seattle at Greenwood Brings ‘Character Essentials’ to Life with Neighborhood Food Drive

In the month of October, Kiddie Academy of Seattle at Greenwood proudly partnered with the Phinney Neighborhood Association (PNA) for the annual Hunger Goblin’ Food Drive.

By serving as an official community collection location, our Academy brought character education to life, teaching our students the true meaning of kindness and community support.

Our wonderful families and staff completely filled our donation bin, gathering non-perishable goods to support local food security, for a grand total of 120 items!

Pre-K and preschool classrooms directly participated in the drive, physically helping to organize and make room for incoming donations. Educators also utilized the drive as a hands-on learning moment, engaging children in meaningful circle-time discussions about empathy, helping neighbors, and sharing with those in need.

Through this successful neighborhood collaboration, our students experienced firsthand how small acts of care can make a massive difference right here in the Greenwood community.
