Kiddie Academy of South Reno

I am thankful, honored, and excited to be the Director at Kiddie Academy of South Reno!! Childcare has been my passion and my profession for 30+ years! As some may already know, I was the Center Director for another local center that is no longer around. In that time, I grew so much as a mom, teacher, childcare professional, Director, and human! I made lifelong friendships and relationships with not just the children, but the parents and staff as well.  One main component of my personal philosophy is Respect!! Respect for the tiny little humans we care for each day. We need to teach them literally everything. When they have big emotions, we are there to comfort and soothe, but also to talk them through those feelings. We are here to show them how to interact with other children. How to navigate through hard times. Safety and security are the first and most important factors in providing quality child care. Building relationships. I am beyond excited to get to know more of you on a more personal level! With that being said, I believe in the open-door policy. My door is always open! I like to talk through situations with parents and staff and find ways to be a team for your child!! We must be in this as a partnership! Raising the next generation of good humans! A little personal information about myself. I was born in Colorado and moved to Carson City, Nevada, when I was 15. My husband, Dan and I have an amazing, blended family of 6 children and 4 grandchildren. I love to go camping, shopping and obviously I love little people!!
