Kiddie Academy of Streamwood

Hello! My name is Donielle Johnston, and I am the Director of Education at Kiddie Academy of Streamwood. I have been in this role since September of 2025, but I have been in ECE for over 30 years. Even from when I was younger, I always loved being around kids; helping and teaching them what I could, so it just seemed the natural way to go. I also come from a long line of teachers in my family. My favorite part of working with kids is seeing the 'A-ha moment'. When they finally get a skill they have been working towards and their faces light up like never before. What I love the most about my job is that I get to be with kids of all ages from the babies all the way to the 5/6-year-olds. They all are so different and I love to watch them grow and learn.

My name is Jackie Acosta, Executive Director at Kiddie Academy of Streamwood. I have spent about 15 years working in the education field between my Director of Education and Executive Director roles at Kiddie Academy. From a young age, I’ve always known I wanted to work with children, which led me to pursue a career in early childhood education. My favorite part of my role is watching children grow and learn, celebrating their accomplishments, and seeing them reach important developmental milestones. I am passionate about creating a supportive, nurturing environment where every child feels encouraged to succeed.
