Chesley Burch

Essential Administrative Assistant

Ms. Chesley was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, where she developed a strong sense of community and a passion for supporting families and children. A proud 2024 graduate of Deep Run High School, she is now channeling her love for early childhood development and organization into her role at Kiddie Academy. Ms. Chesley plays a vital part in the daily operations of our academy, supporting staff, assisting families, and helping create a smooth, welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. Her kind spirit, reliability, and eagerness to grow make her a valued member of our team. Outside of Kiddie Academy, Ms. Chesley enjoys spending time with her pets, going to the beach, and traveling with her family.

David Diggs

Facilities Manager (BBQ King)

Mr. David Diggs is a proud Virginia native and has been an integral part of Kiddie Academy since its opening in 2019. As our Facility Manager—affectionately known as the “BBQ King”—he ensures our academy is safe, clean, and running smoothly year-round. A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. David brings a strong work ethic and extensive maintenance experience to our team. His dedication to excellence shines through not only in the care of our facilities but also in his passion for cooking. An Avid Grill & Smoke master, Mr. David has perfected his BBQ skills over the years, treating Kiddie Academy families to his famous brisket and pulled chicken at annual events. Each week, students and staff look forward to his flavorful creations.   More than a Facility Manager, Mr. David is a beloved member of our Kiddie Academy family—always serving with pride, commitment, and plenty of heart.

Dawn Oleniacz

Senior Lead Teacher - I Can Do It - Preschool

Ms. Dawn is Lead Teacher at KAWC. She was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. Ms. Dawn has over 20 years of Childcare experience and holds a Bachelor of Science from Ferrum College. Ms. Dawn and our highly qualified teachers guide, nurture, and cultivate each child's development at every milestone. Ms. Dawn is a Wife, Mother, and devoted Daughter to her elderly Mom. She enjoys reading and gardening and enjoys shaping the lives of our Future.  

Mercedes Arenas

Senior Lead Teacher - New Beginnings Infants Program

Ms. Mama Mercedes brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and warmth to KAWC. Originally from Colombia, South America, she is a trained sociologist with a Master’s degree in Education and has dedicated over 35 years to teaching and public service. In Colombia, she held several key public roles within her city’s mayor’s office, including serving multiple terms as Acting Mayor. Yet her true passion has always been education. She founded, taught, and led one of the most respected schools in Cúcuta, touching the lives of thousands of students. After retiring, Ms. Mercedes moved to Richmond to reunite with her children and grandchildren. Though officially retired, her love of teaching remains strong.   Today, in our Infant classroom, she brings not only the gentle care of a grandmother but also the wisdom and dedication of an accomplished educator. Her passion and leadership make her an invaluable part of our Kiddie Academy family.

Tadiana Villa

Academy Director

Tadiana Villa was born in Colombia, South America. She completed dental studies with honors at Colombia Dental School in 2002. She provided quality dental care to children of all ages at her private practice in Colombia for 3 years. When she moved to United States, Tadiana continued her work in the dental field for 14 years as Orthodontics Assistant. In 2019, Mrs. Villa changed her career and started a new venture as Manager of Kiddie Academy of West Creek. Tadiana’s passion for education in young children was her main motivation in this new chapter in her life. In her spare time, Tadiana enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She loves running and likes to travel with her family.
