Kiddie Academy of Whitestone

I began working at Kiddie Academy of Whitestone in May of 2011, shortly after having my 2nd daughter. She also began attending our infant program and since then has graduated from our UPK program. I have a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Prior to becoming a director, I had the opportunity to student teach at 2 different schools in a 2nd grade classroom as well as in a Pre-school setting. I worked for 6 years at an early childhood program as a Pre-school teacher and a Pre-K teacher. As an educator I believe that each child is a special individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially. As the director I help teachers create an environment that is safe, developmentally appropriate and one that allows the child's natural curiosity. I believe that parent communication is essential in a child's early childhood development; and here at Kiddie Academy we have an open door policy and communicate daily with parents through our app and during drop off and pick up times.
