Kids and Parents around the country love Pinkalicious!
Kiddie Academy is proud to announce we are the inaugural sponsors of PBS Kids’ newest animated television series Pinkalicious & Peterrific, which premieres today on PBS KIDS on stations across the country. (Watch episodes online and check local listings to see when it airs in your market.)
The series encourages  creativity and celebrates the arts as the story follows the adventures of the sister and brother pair. Pinkalicious imagines creative possibilities everywhere she looks. She is an artist at heart—and, like most creative people, she sees the world differently than others. She knows what she likes, and she’s not afraid to express herself—though sometimes she needs the help of Peter and her neighborhood friends.
Originally launched as a book series in 2006 by author Victoria Kann,  Pinkalicious has expanded into a multi-faceted brand. The PBS series includes 38 half-hour episodes and one hour-long special. Each episode includes two 11-minute stories and an original song. The PBSKids.org site includes episodes, games, videos and activities.
With a focus on social and emotional learning (SEL), and drawing upon the National Core Arts Standards, this new series aims to celebrate the value and pleasure of self-expression, and deepening understanding of the arts–dance, theater, music and visual arts.
“We love Pinkalicious too because it’s a good fit for our families and our brand,” says Nicole Salla, Kiddie Academy’s vice president of marketing. “We have a long, successful partnership with PBS Kids sponsoring Curious George and Henson’s Dinosaur Train. The programs align well with our developmentally appropriate Life Essentials Curriculum. It’s thrilling to support Pinkalicious, the first comprehensive preschool arts series for public media!
“We’re ‘tickled pink’ Pinkalicious & Peterrific is available for millions of families to enjoy! The series is debuting with an estimated TV audience of over 1 million people. The online premier has received over 20 million streams!”  Salla adds.
Join the fun as Pinkalicious and Peter look for ways to turn the everyday ho-hum into something extraordinary, whether it’s creating a painting, making a cupcake or singing a song. Download these delightful activities for your child’s pinkamazing play!
