Katie is a successful entrepreneur within many industries. Her most treasured business endeavor began with opening and owning her very first Kiddie Academy 15 years ago in Bolingbrook, IL. She soon after opened her second Kiddie Academy in Darien, IL and knew from an early time that she wanted to continue growing to provide opportunities to her staff where they can move up within her academies, learn and grow just as the children of Kiddie Academy do.  Katie partnered with Olga and has successfully opened a third location, Kiddie Academy of Oak Park. Together, Katie and Olga will be building a fourth location in Countryside/LaGrange, projected to open in 2026. Katie has earned her bachelor’s degree in business and communications from DePaul University. In addition, Katie also holds the Early Childhood Level 5 Credential through Gateways to Opportunity of Illinois, the Illinois Professional Development System. Her leadership is admired by all her employees.

Olga Glikis

Partner

Olga has committed over 20 years to the early childhood industry. She holds her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Carthage College. She has earned over 40 early childhood master’s level credits from Governor’s State University. While leading our two locations, Kiddie Academy of Bolingbrook and Kiddie Academy of Darien to Gold Circle of Quality with ExceleRate Illinois as well as our most prized possession of the NAEYC accreditations, she is excited to lead our newest location of Kiddie Academy of Oak Park to both milestones as well. Olga has also earned the Illinois Level II Director’s Credential, an Early Childhood Level 5 Credential and an Infant and Toddler Level 4 Credential through Gateways to Opportunity of Illinois, the Illinois Professional Development System. She is passionate about providing quality care for the children of the communities we serve.

Mrs. Cristi

Academy Director

Cristi has been employed with Kiddie Academy of Bolingbrook since 2022.  She has earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood special education from Lewis University and holds an ECE Level 5 credential through Gateways to Opportunity, the Illinois Professional Development System. She is an attentive and supportive educator and leader.    Cristi’s dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment is evident in the way she supports each child’s growth and development.  Cristi has her own child enrolled in our program and is excited to grow alongside with him. Her favorite facet of being a Kiddie Academy parent is her child’s increase in vocabulary in just a short time. We look forward to seeing her thrive in her newly appointed role, as she continues her career in early childhood education.

Mrs. Lexie

Assistant Director

We are so grateful to have Lexie as our Assistant Director. Lexie has been working at our location as a supervisor since her employment began in 2022.  She holds an associate’s degree in child development from Joliet Junior College and is currently working towards her bachelor’s in early childhood education Rasmussen University. Lexie also has been awarded an ECE Level 4 Credential from Gateways to Opportunity, the Illinois Professional Development System. We are extremely proud of her for pursing this accomplishment. Her favorite aspect of working with children is being excited with them when they master new skills.  Lexie has two children enrolled in our program and enjoys listening to stories from the teachers about her children’s day. 

Ms. Rebecca

Supervisor

Rebecca is a passionate and energetic Lead Teacher who brings over 15 years of experience working with children.  She has been employed with our location since 2013 and has held many different roles.  Her enthusiasm and motivation are contagious, and her students are always excited to see her each day. Rebecca holds an associate’s degree in child development from Rasmussen University and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in early childhood from National Lewis University. She also holds an ECE Level 4 Credential through Gateways to Opportunity, the Illinois Professional Development System, reflecting her dedication to continuous growth and excellence in early childhood education. Rebecca's warmth, expertise, and commitment to the staff and children make her a valued leader in our academy and a vital part of our team.

Ms. Mercedes

Office Manager

Mercedes is a dedicated professional who has been a valued member of our team since 2012.  Her loyalty and commitment to our staff, children and families have been evident throughout her many years of employment at this very location.  Mercedes has earned her lead teacher qualifications through the National Creentialing Program and holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification.  She enjoyed watching both of her children attend and graduate through our program while making a positive impact in our academy and this industry.
