Jon Ramsey

"With nearly 20 years of experience as a Business and HR Leader, I know that people are the most important resource of any orgaization. I'm really excited to bring together my passion for business and experience as a caring leader, with my desire to help nurture and develope our communities next generation of leaders, craftspeople, caregivers, and profesionals. I'm particularly proud to be sharing this journey with my lovely wife of 23 years, Della Ramsey. I'm blesssed beyond measure to have her and my two kids, Leah (12) and Logan (9) in my life. On top of that, I love to have fun, and I'm guessing there might be some teachers, parents and kiddos that want to have some fun too." - Jon Jon grew up in Ireland, West Virgina. After High School, he entered the military and served in the US Air Force and the Air National Guard. He attended Glenville State College where he obtained his Bachelor of Business Management degree (and meet his soulmate Della). They married after graduation and Jon then attended West Virgina Univerity and recieved a Master of Science degree in Industrial Relations (HR). After graduation Jon worked for several large companies, in several different locations across the US.

Della Ramsey, MAED

At a young age, I knew I wanted to work with young children. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education, a Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education, and a School Library Media Graduate Certificate. My philosophy is to never stop learning. I have now worked with children for over 20 years in many different capacities including teaching in a public school setting as well as child care centers. I also have several years of experience with administration of child care centers. Throughout the years, I have learned that child care needs go beyond learning. Before children learn, they must feel comfortable in a safe and healthy environment. When a child feels safe and healthy, that environment positively fosters children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development. I feel that a positive environment is needed in order for children to fully understand love, encouragement, and respect. My commitment to our parents is that I will treat your child as my own and work with you to understand your individual goals for your child. I will provide you with support and knowledge through the different stages of your child’s development. I can’t wait to welcome you to our Kiddie Academy family!

Nicolette Roop

Executive Director

I am an accomplished professional with a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration and a nearly completed MBA. I bring a unique blend of expertise in organizational leadership, operations management, and early childhood education administration. With a strong background in center operations, team leadership, and curriculum implementation, I am dedicated to fostering inclusive, developmentally enriching environments that meet and exceed state and national standards. I take pride in mentoring educators, building trusted relationships with families, and ensuring regulatory compliance to deliver the highest quality care and education. By integrating my knowledge of healthcare and business, I take a strategic, results-driven approach to improving operational efficiency, enhancing staff development, and strengthening family partnerships. My goal is to empower educators and positively impact each child’s early learning experience.

Yolonda Mitchell

Director of Operations

I am a passionate and mission-driven early childhood leader with a Bachelor of Social Work from North Carolina Central University and over 10 years of experience supporting children and families. In 2024, I entered the Kiddie Academy family and quickly advanced from classroom teacher to Administrative Assistant to Assistant Director and now serve as Director of Operations. My background in social work gives me a unique perspective in fostering strong family relationships, promoting social-emotional development, and supporting the overall well-being of children and staff. I am committed to building nurturing environments where children feel safe, valued, and ready to learn. With a focus on operational excellence, team empowerment, and regulatory compliance, I take pride in leading with integrity, purpose, and heart. As a wife and mother of three, I understand the importance of trust in childcare and strive to ensure every family feels confident and supported.
