Meet the Owners

Rich and Danielle Luht

The idea of Tecara Group, inc dba Kiddie Academy of Edmond began in 2015 when we arrived in Edmond and had difficulty finding the type of childcare we wanted for our children. After an exhaustive search and trying various brands, we continued to have a hard time finding the quality of care we wanted. In 2019, after Rich left the Oil and Gas industry, we decided to partner with Kiddie Academy and begin the process of building Kiddie Academy of Edmond. The foundation of the partnership was the strength of the Kiddie Academy Franchise and the principals of safety, education and fun for the children within our care.

Meet Our Team

Hanna Carter

Assistant Director

Mrs. Hanna has been working in childcare since 2009. She started out as a teacher, then moved into a leadership role as the School Age Coordinator. After about a year she transitioned into the Education Specialists. Her most recent role was as the Health & Safety Director. She is also Director Qualified through the University of Oklahoma. She has her Certificate of Mastery from Oklahoma City Community College. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with her Associates in Enterprise Development, majoring in Early Childhood Education. She has a second Associates Degree in Family Studies Child Development, AA. She is currently obtaining a Bachelor's Degree. Mrs. Hanna has been married since 2017 and currently lives in Deer Creek with her wonderful dog Maddox.

Christy Kastl

Director

Hello! My name is Christy Kastl and I am so can’t wait to meet all of our new families! I have been in education my entire life. My mother is a retired public-school teacher. I was born and raised in Edmond but moved to Yukon when I got married in 2013. My husband and I live in Yukon with our two children, Lucy (6 years old) & Owen (8 years old) and our two crazy dogs! I started working in childcare as a preschool teacher. I soon found my love for leading others and training educators. I worked my way up through leadership, starting at School Age Coordinator, and Assistant Director and then to Director. I also worked as the Quality Education Coordinator for the state of Oklahoma. The past five years I have been working as an Executive Director in corporate childcare. I am very active in Oklahoma. I am a board member on the Licensed Childcare Association of Oklahoma. I am an Adjunct Professor for Mid-American Christian University. In my free time I volunteer with OKC Jr League. This year’s assignment I am working with OU Children’s Hospital and planning their spring prom. I have my Associates Degree in Child Development, from Redlands Community College. My Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/Adult Education from University of Central Oklahoma. I have my Masters Degree in Child Psychology/ Child and Adolescent Psychology Development from Walden University. I also have a post graduate certificate in Higher Education. Lastly I am currently pursing my PhD from Northcentral University in Educational Leadership. I am extremely passionate about early childhood education. I know Kiddie Academy will be the foundation they need to thrive in school and in life. I am so thrilled to start building relationships with all our families. Please let us know if you need anything!
