Suzann Barnhart

Quality Program Coordinator

Suzann is originally from the island of Guam. She lives in Omaha with her husband, John and their son, Monte. Suzann holds a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science from Western International University. Suzann's experience has been in mental health program coordination and social work as well as educating preschool students and those in the special education classrooms. Suzann's has a passion for helping others and now that she is outside of the classroom, she focuses on working with the faculty on program development, curriculum support and quality outcomes.Suzann uses her abililty to actively listen and find strengths in every teacher at Kiddie Academy, allowing her to meet each teacher where they are, and improve on the incredible classroom quality in our academy.

Julie Pfiefer

Lead Early Preschool Teacher & Peer Mentor

Julie holds a Master's degree in Education and has been teaching for over 25 years, and at Kiddie Academy since 2024. Julie is a dedicated and approachable educator, known for a deep commitment to both her Early Preschool students and her peers. Beyond her abilities in the classroom, Julie is a sought-after peer mentor. She actively supports the KA faculty by encouraging them to find their own teaching style and passion in their classrooms. Julie lives in Elkhorn with her husband, Rudy. She has two grown children, Katie and Matthew. 

Lauren McEvoy

Operations Director

Lauren is originally from Hardington, NE and lives in Omaha with her husband, Trevor, and children Grayson and Emma. Lauren holds an associate degree in business administration from Central College. Her experience has been primarily working with elementary school students in school age recreational and camp programs. You can find Lauren inside and outside classroom at the academy as she supports the day to day operations.  

Christina Jeffries

Opening Supervisor and Lead Pre-Kindergarten

Christina holds an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and has been teaching in a classroom since 2013. She is a Lead Teacher in one of our Pre-K classrooms, and helps to support the academy and its families as a supervisor every morning during drop off. Christina loves teaching because she enjoys seeing each child express their creativity daily! Christina lives in Yutan with her husband Kyle, and daughter Hailey.

Micky Osten

Lead Preschool Teacher & Closing Supervisor

Micky holds a bachelor's degree in Special Education and has previously worked with "at risk" students before leading one of our Preschool classrooms. Teaching at Kiddie Academy since January 2022, Micky loves seeing the amount of growth that occurs in just one year in the classroom. He supports the academy not only in the classroom, but behing the front desk in the evenings.
