Kiddie Academy Of Ellicott City Receives National Accreditation

Four years after Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City opened its doors to area children, the educational child care center has attained a momentous goal: they are NAEYC accredited.

The Patch notes that the school began with just three classrooms, gradually adding children and families to the fold. They began the accreditation process in 2017, a massive undertaking since fewer than 10 percent of all childcare centers, preschools and kindergartners nationally achieve this recognition.

To earn the accreditation, which is awarded for five years, Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City completed an extensive self-study process, measuring the program and its services against more than 400 related accreditation criteria and a set of 10 research-based early childhood program standards.
