Hello Kiddie Academy family, my name is Nicolette Roop, but you can call me Miss Nicky. I am originally from the Caribbean Island of Trinidad. I migrated to New York City when I was sixteen. I then moved to North Carolina in 2013.| am a mom of two daughters: Emma (10 years old) and Sophie (7 years old). We live in Concord. I have a professional work background in Hospital Finance (while I lived in NYC) but soon discovered my passion for working with young children when my younger daughter entered preschool at age three. Since then, I have pursued this passion and obtained many college credits from Purdue University Global toward Early Childhood Development and Administration. I also have CPR and First Aid training and other certifications/training specific to NC State. I am honored to be the Assistant Director of the Kiddie Academy family. I have worked with two other early childcare facilities in the Concord area. My passion stems from treating the children as my own, instead of just my students, and having the ability to shape young minds is rewarding. I tend to do most of my teaching through arts and crafts as I find the children enjoy this. I look forward to working with and getting to know all of you and the wonderful children in my care as I become a part of the team.

Hello families! I am excited to be apart of the Kiddie Academy team in Harrisburg, NC. I was born and raised in NC, and moved to the Salisbury area about 10 years ago. I have been in the childcare business and in an administrator roll for 5 years. I am in school for Early Childhood Education and will finish up my degree in 2024. When I am not at work, I like to be outdoors hiking, lounging in my hammock, or reading a book. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions about your childcare needs!
