Meet the Owners

Dr. Drashti and Dr. Shardul Kaneria

Dr. Drashti (Dr. Dash), formerly a dentist and Dr. Shardul Kaneria, formerly an educational neuroscientist and high school administrator, are originally from Melbourne, Australia and now call the Salt Lake Valley home. They are the proud parents of Shiv (age 8) and Dev (age 5) and appreciate the impact, quality early childhood education has, on the social, emotional and cognitive development of young children. Dr. Drashti is excited to lead the team at Kiddie Academy of Herriman and foster an environment where children can thrive and develop an educational foundation that will serve them well throughout their future lives. They have transitioned well from the windswept beaches of Australia to the magnificent surrounds in Utah and can be found exploring the local parks and trails in their free time.

Ms. Stephanie Kanagaratnam

Academy Director

My name is Stephanie Kanagaratnam. I have been in the early childhood education field for over 15 years and both of my children grew up in the setting. I began as an Academy Director about 10 years ago as I completed my associate and bachelor’s degrees in early childhood education. This includes opening and operating a brand-new Goddard school in Las Vegas. I take pride in bringing quality education to our students during this critical time of development by creating a positive school culture of consistency and routine. Seeing children learn and thrive is a passion that drives me every day as I do what I love. My children and I relocated to Sandy, Utah a year ago from Las Vegas, NV with my children. I enjoy weightlifting at the gym, reading, and creative writing to reset each day.

Director of Education

Bio in Ms. Olivia's words: My journey in the childcare industry, with over eight years of experience, has been immensely fulfilling and I am grateful for the experiences and knowledge I have gained along the way. With my extensive background in working with children of all ages, and my directorial experiences, I am confident in my ability to continue making a significant impact on the lives of young individuals. I am excited about the opportunity to bring my expertise, dedication, and passion to a new chapter in my career, where I can continue to nurture and inspire young minds
