Meet the Owners

James & Brittany Ihedigbo

NFL veteran James Ihedigbo and wife Brittany chose the Kiddie Academy child care franchise in 2016 to continue building a family legacy and foundation for their future. James was an undrafted Free Agent in 2007 out of the University of Massachusetts, and from there went on to have a 10-year NFL career as well as win a Super Bowl Championship in 2012 with the Baltimore Ravens. Meanwhile his wife Brittany Ihedigbo earned her degree in nursing from the University of Massachusetts as well. As a family they’ve had the great pleasure of playing for the New York Jets, New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills throughout their tenure career. James and Brittany launched their own charitable foundation, Hope Africa USA in 2009 which helps students of African Decent receive educational scholarships, college prep courses and assistance to ensure all students get the best possible help and guidance along their college journey. Their foundation and its efforts have helped over 50 students across the country pay for college tuition. As James NFL career was ending the Ihedigbo’s began to think about life post football, and it was at that time James and Brittany began to research potential child care franchise options in and around the Houston area. During their research they came across Kiddie Academy which academically was set apart from all the other child care franchises. During this process James and Brittany sought the advice of James mother Dr. Rose Ihedigbo who has an earned PhD in Early Childhood education. As the Ihedigbo’s laid out their options, in order to get the full experience Brittany and James enrolled their young daughter Grace in a nearby location and were blow away by her academic achievements and new that Kiddie Academy was the right franchise partner. James and Brittany opened Kiddie Academy Lakes of Savannah in Rosharon Tx, on July 10th, 2016. The Ihedigbo’s have achieved great success, both in business as well as personal standpoint. They have consistently maintained high enrollment numbers, created a well-known brand and presence in their community and formed many solid relationships with families they serve. James and Brittany have had the pleasure of seeing the results of their hard work in the many children they serve. They have seen the quality of the product first hand with the children’s advancements and accomplishments.
