Charul & Raj Patel

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website! I, Charul Patel, am the managing member for Kiddie Academy of Midlothian. Raj and I both graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey and moved to Chesterfield County shortly after we married over 20+ years! We have raised both of our children, Devan and Riya, here in the Chesterfield community and couldn’t imagine having done so anywhere else! When opening this academy, our goal was to provide a safe, nurturing environment in which our amazing and caring staff would help us build the foundations for our children, in order to raise them to be confident, independent, smart individuals that will eventually take on the world! We are so grateful for the Kiddie Academy family and all of the amazing KAM families that are helping us achieve this goal! Remember “Community

Meet Our Team

Amanda Johnson

Regional Director

Hello, I am Ms. Amanda and I have been with the KAM family since 2017. I have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Special Education from Old Dominion University. I have worked in the childcare industry for 20 years and adore every minute of it. I have lived in the Chesterfield area most of my life and love being close to the mountains and the beach. I am happily married and have 2 stepsons. We all enjoy the outdoors and being on the water. I am thrilled to be a part of the KAM community and watch it expand. I look forward to watching your children grow and explore the world around them for years to come!

Monica Bianchi

Curriculum Coordinator

Hello, I’m Ms. Monica. I am originally from Brazil and have lived in Richmond for the past 12 years. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, with over 10 years of experience in childcare. I strongly believe that to truly understand children, we must see the world from their perspective. This belief guides the way I support, nurture, and build meaningful relationships with each child. I have been happily married for 31 years and a proud mom of two grown sons. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, reading, and—true to my Italian upbringing—cooking and spending quality time with my family, along with my mini dachshund, Olivia, and my two cats, Mia and Pepper.
