When we toured at KA, I got emotional because I realized what my kids were missing out on. As a former teacher, I wish I would have learned of KA sooner. My kids are very different: one is advanced (needs to be challenged simply because he loves to learn) and one has developmental delays and sensory needs, where the focus is more on supporting him to be successful in a learning environment with patience and grace to help him also learn. We have been so thankful for the teachers he has and the directors who have lovingly supported us as we learn more about what makes our kiddo successful while also flexibly modifying classroom content so he is learning every single day.
