Kiddie Academy of Renton Earns National NAEYC Accreditation

July 24, 2019

Renton, WA (July 24th, 2019) — Kiddie Academy of Renton, a local leader in educational child care, recently received national accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The recognition comes from the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals and less than 10 percent of all child care centers, preschools, and kindergartens nationally achieve this recognition.

“Here at Kiddie Academy we always aspire to achieve the highest educational standards,” said Richard Peterson, VP of Education at Kiddie Academy. “Achieving NAEYC accreditation is a proud moment for us, as we can now highlight the fact that this location is operating against the organization’s high standards in early childhood education to offer parents unparalleled education and care.”

To earn the accreditation, which is awarded for five years, Kiddie Academy of North Albuquerque completed an extensive self-study process, measuring the program and its services against more than 400 related accreditation criteria and a set of 10 research-based early childhood program standards.

For more than 25 years, families have relied on NAEYC Accreditation to ensure the quality of education and care provided in programs for young children. High-quality programs provide a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the development of young children. NAEYC sets research-based standards and provides resources to improve early childhood program quality and enhance the professional development and working conditions of program staff.

The standards were created with input from experts and educators from around the country and developed to raise the quality of education for children from birth through age eight, while defining what NAEYC believes all early childhood programs should provide.
