Kiddie Academy of Robbinsville kindness pays off for nonprofit

February 24, 2022

In honor of its great work during Random Acts of Kindness Week, Kiddie Academy of Robbinsville was randomly selected by Kiddie Academy Educational Child Care corporate headquarters to receive a donation to pass along to a charitable organization of its choice.

Kiddie Academy of Robbinsville was just one of nearly 300 Academies throughout the company’s nationwide system that participated in the week, performing good deeds throughout their communities.

“It’s so important that we teach our children the benefits of kindness,” said Maria Dontas, Kiddie Academy Director of Corporate Social Responsibility. “Random Acts of Kindness week is the perfect opportunity to display our daily efforts to be kind within our communities and to recognize the impact we can all make with a small gesture.”

Kiddie Academy of Robbinsville created a random acts of kindness paper chain featuring more than 300 chain links, each representing a child’s act of spreading kindness within the community.

“Character education is an essential part of our philosophy and curriculum at Kiddie Academy of Robbinsville,” said Ami Desai, who owns the Academy along with husband Bhavesh. “That’s why we love National Random Acts of Kindness Week.”

Kiddie Academy of Robbinsville serves over 150 children in the area and focuses on kindness year-round through its Character Essentials curriculum. Academy Director Bonnie Spinelli said, “We’ve been very busy spreading kindness this month. The Academy supported several local nonprofits and community partners leading up to Random Acts of Kindness Week by hosting a food drive, crafting Valentine’s Day cards for senior residents at a local assisted living facility and making student-made bookmarks to donate to three local libraries.”
