TEFA Preschool in Rockwall: What Families Should Know

Kiddie Academy of Rockwall is a TEFA-approved provider offering preschool, Pre-K, and kindergarten options. If you are exploring Texas Education Freedom Accounts for your child, begin with two separate questions: does your child qualify for funding, and does the school’s program fit your family?

Our team can explain our programs, tuition, and enrollment process. Eligibility and funding decisions are handled through the TEFA program.

Are TEFA applications open?

Application status checked October 22, 2026: The official TEFA website states that applications for the 2026–27 school year are closed. Families interested in future opportunities can join the 2027–28 interest list through the official TEFA family page.

Check that page for current announcements before making plans. A school inquiry or tour does not submit a TEFA application or reserve a funding award.

Can every preschool child receive TEFA funding?

No. Preschool age alone does not establish eligibility. Pre-K has specific eligibility requirements, and qualifying for the program is separate from receiving a funding award.

Use the official family page to review the requirements that apply to your child. Avoid assuming that a sibling’s eligibility or another family’s experience will apply to your situation.

How should I compare TEFA preschool options?

Start with the classroom. Ask to meet the team, see a typical schedule, and understand how the program supports your child’s learning and adjustment to school.

Then request a written cost breakdown. Ask:

• What tuition and required fees apply to this program?
• Which expenses can be paid using my child’s approved funding?
• What amount remains our family’s responsibility?
• How are payments handled while a funding transaction is pending?
• What are the withdrawal and refund policies?

Funding can affect affordability, but the daily experience still matters. Look for a school where you feel comfortable asking questions and discussing your child’s needs.
