Our Educational Philopsophy

Our approach is based on the belief that children learn best in an environment that encourages them to explore and use their creativity. We provide daily opportunities for each child to engage in child-led, play-based experiences, and our educators act as guides to support their learning. We believe that every experience throughout the day can lead to a learning opportunity. This includes class meetings, learning center exploration time, and mealtimes that encourage family style dining. During our center-based learning time, children choose the learning centers that are of interest to them. They are encouraged to freely explore these designated areas in the classroom as they interact with peers and materials. Materials and learning experiences are widely open-ended and children are encouraged to engage in imaginary and creative play. The educator’s role is to provide guidance and support for the skills the children are learning as they play.
