Meet the Owner

Ara Sheikh

As parents of two young children, we deeply understand the importance of an education-based pre-k program that prioritizes safety, security, and a fun learning environment. We believe such an environment is essential for shaping young minds into future leaders and model citizens who can make a positive impact on society.I am Ara Sheikh, the onsite owner of Kiddie Academy of Stonebridge McKinney. As a mother and dedicated educator, I am fully committed to providing exceptional service, education, and safety. Our approach emphasizes fostering positive behaviors, encouraging playfulness, and guiding children through redirection when necessary. Our Life Essentials® curriculum is registered with the Library of Congress, and as a team, we are passionate about bringing out the best in your child by using this curriculum as a foundation for learning and growth.I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. My husband, Nader, will also be onsite as his schedule permits. He is a graduate of The University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and has over 20 years of experience in the wireless communications industry, serving in various engineering and management roles.We currently reside in Frisco, Texas, with our two wonderful children, and we are excited to be part of your child's educational journey.

Brittany Peterson

Assistant Director

Hello, I’m Brittany Peterson, the Assistant Director. I’ve been with Kiddie Academy since 2018 and deeply believe in our fundamental approach to child learning and development. Over the years, I’ve witnessed the positive impact that learning through play has on children. I have a daughter named Rebecca, who has been part of Kiddie Academy since she was just 4 months old, and a son named Benjamin, born in 2023, who also attends our school. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality moments with family and friends and exploring new restaurants and events around the DFW area. As a mother, I truly understand the importance of providing a safe and enriching learning environment. I’m excited to interact with your little ones, support their growth, and build meaningful relationships with families.

Abigail Bullard

Curriculum Manager

Hello, I’m Abigail Bullard. I’ve been working in early childhood development for six years. My journey began while I was attending Austin College, and after graduation, I spent a year and a half teaching Kindergarten. In addition to my teaching experience, I’ve played soccer for over 20 years and used to offer private lessons for youth soccer. I’m thrilled to embark on this new chapter with your amazing children at Kiddie Academy! My passion for early childhood development runs deep, largely inspired by my mom, who was a preschool teacher for over 25 years. I spent many days tagging along with her, helping in various roles, and from a young age, I knew I wanted to be involved in nurturing and supporting young children’s growth. I firmly believe that children learn best through interaction and play, and I’m excited that Kiddie Academy fosters this kind of learning environment. I look forward to growing and learning alongside your children as we build a strong foundation for their future!
